On Saturday the 2nd December we shall be dancing up the South Bank accompanied by several other dance sides from the Cotswold, Clog and Molly traditions including Madder Mill Molly (Carshalton), Northfields (Ealing), North Wood Way (Croydon). and Old Palace Clog (Croydon).
We start a little way upstream of Tower Bridge and finish just downstream from BlackFriars railway bridge.
For anybody unsure of how the river flows (and some folks seem to be), then upstream is to your left if you are looking at the river from the South Bank.
We will be between Tower Bridge and London Bridge in the morning then at the George (see below) after lunch before processing up the riverbank toward Blackfriars Railway Bridge.
10:30 Xmas Market by City Hall
11:30 Hayes Galleria (inside)
12:20 London Bridge City Pier
13:00 Stop for lunch – though will congregate at The George below.
14:15 The George Inn, 77 Borough High Street, Greater London SE1 1NH
15:30 Founders Arms (just downstream/east from Blackfriars Bridge)
Schedule is subject to unforseen changes due to tempest, pestilence, beer shortage or Morris Time.
London Bridge rail/tube is handy for access being within 15 minutes stroll of all tour stops. For the start at City Hall, Tower Hill / Tower Gateway underground/DLR is around 15 minutes walk (but no closer than London Bridge). Buses 47, 343 and RVI also serve City Hall. One can depart at the finish via the nearby Blackfriars rail/tube or enjoy a 15-20 minute walk to Waterloo rail/tube.
Food is available at the pubs and also from a plethora of food stalls in Borough Market.
We look forward to seeing you at some point during the day.
